In Jesus’ response to which is the greatest commandment, he responded, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind... and the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-39) To love one’s neighbor is not just sending them a Valentine’s Day card with an expression of goodwill and affection, but an active, responsive love from a heart of compassion. To serve others is our opportunity to fulfill this enduring command Christ.

We, as followers of Christ have an opportunity to engage in the world’s greatest mission, the Mission of God, to be his living, visible and active presence to our families, friends, co-workers and neighbors through acts of service. When we serve our families, church and community we become a living testimony of Christ’s love within us.

We serve our families in the Biblical roles and responsibilities given as husbands, fathers, wives, mothers, children, students, siblings and grandparents.

We serve our church family as: Assistant Teachers and Teachers of all ages, Praise and Worship Team Members, Cleaning & Maintenance, Administration, Greeters/Ushers, Leadership Roles, Kitchen and Meals, Special Events, Yard, Flower Beds and Garden upkeep, and many others.

We serve our neighbors and community through individual and family opportunities to meet a need, as well as, whole-church service projects: Day in Damascus, serving the homeless and special community fund-raising.

Click here for more information about our church ministries.
